Hello Forkfesters!!

Here is Accent's menu for the January 2010 Forkfest.  Remember, Forkfest runs Sunday, January 17th to Thursday the 21st and Sunday the 24th to Thursday the 28th.

We are offering a 3-course meal for $25.  The menu choices are:
Appetizers: Small Steak Tartar or Bocconcini Salad
Entrees: Wiener Schnitzel, Grilled Veg Stack, or Chicken Thighs with Coconut Curry Cream Sauce
Desserts: Home-made Apricot or Raspberry Crepes

Here are our holiday hours for the period between December 24th and January 1st.  Also, please note that we will be closed for vacation from January 1st to January 13th.  We will reopen on Thursday, January 14th at 5pm.

Once again, a very Happy Holidays from all of us at Accent.

On Sunday November 15th, Accent, in partnership with Crimson Imports, will be hosting a wine and food pairing event.  It will begin at 6pm and tickets are $35 per person.  Tickets include four food courses and four glasses of wine.  Call us at 780-431-0179 for tickets or more details.

We are going to be closed on Thanksgiving Sunday, October 11th so that all of our staff can have Thanksgiving dinner with their families.  We will reopen for business as usual on Tuesday, October 13th.  Have a happy Thanksgiving!

Accent will be closed this Sunday, September 6th for a private function.  We will reopen for normal operations on Tuesday, September 8th at 5pm.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your continued patronage!

Maybe I'm a little biased, but I think that Accent is a pretty cool place to hang out almost any time.  Good food, drinks, and a great little community of people make Accent a generally fun place to be. 

But to me, Accent is really at its best during the Fringe.  There's so much energy all around the Old Strathcona Area that you can't help but feel excited, and that excitement is definitely present inside the restaurant.  It seems like everyone's in a good mood.  Strangers at tables next to one another start discussing plays that they recommend as they flip through a Fringe program.  Stars of shows come by for a pre-performance bite or for a celebratory drink with the audience after the play.

If you haven't been to Accent during the Fringe, think about coming down before its all over next Sunday.  It's a great week for us, and we'd love you to be part of it.

PS. Our Sous Chef extraordinaire Stuart Hoye is starring in a play called City Tensei.  The schedule is on the Fringe website, so if you're looking for a play to check out, keep this one in mind!

Forkfest starts this Sunday, July 19th at Accent and all the other OriginalFare restaurants in Edmonton.  We will be offering appetizer-entree combinations for $20 and $35 from July 19th through Thursday July 23rd and Sunday July 26th through Thursday the 30th.  Hope to see you there!

Just in time for the patio, we are bringing back our Thursday martini special!  All of our delicious 2oz martinis are just $5.50, all night and all summer long!  See you Thursday!

We'd like to wish all of our customers a Happy Easter!  We will be closed for Easter on Sunday, April 12th.  We will be reopening at 5pm on Tuesday.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
